The Museum of the American G.I. is a living history museum dedicated to preserving the equipment, uniforms and memories of all American Servicemen and women. The museum’s collection tells the story of the brave men and women who served to keep our country free. On display is a wide variety of uniforms, posters and vehicles across multiple eras of military history. Some of the vehicles currently on displays are two WWII Sherman tanks, a rare M8 Howitzer Motor Gun Carriage, a Vietnam era Ontos, a Cobra helicopter, River Patrol Boat, 1918 Nash Quad and the only restored, functioning FT-17 in North American. The Museum hosts many immersive experiences for the community. Whether it’s our Living History Weekend or Hands on History, everyone is immersed in our nation’s history and leaves the museum with a new and unforgettable experience.
